Family Photos
If only we can freeze time.
Whenever I look back at photos of my babies, I remember the hundreds of times people told me “time flies and they’ll be a teenager”. Sleepless nights, diapers galore and endless laundry made me feel like it was a season that would never, ever end. But here I am. With two teenagers now and another two that aren’t far behind. It DID go fast. And I am SO thankful for the precious photos I have of my babies when they were little. I look back and remember fondly those chunky soft cheeks I would kiss, the hugs around the neck I would receive or the way they ran into my arms and I would spin them around. I love looking back at the photos that are real and maybe even a little messy. Because that was US. Those are real moments captures that bring back the fondest of memories.
My family photography approach is designed to be simple and stress-free while also being deliberate in capturing authentic and cherished moments. Those posed smiles and “say cheese” pictures fail to reflect the true essence of your day to day life. It's the little moments—like her holding his little brother’s hand, how he explores the textures of the grass with intense curiosity, or the way his eyes light up when you tickle him in just the right spot—this is make family photography so meaningful.
I encourage parents to refer to this experience not as a photoshoot, but as a family date. I encourage parents to be purposeful in playing, laughing, and running with your babies. I’ll be there to capture it all and offer helpful guidance throughout the experience.
If looking back and remembering your babies in their element, with all their authentic goodness, wiggles and joy- I might the family photographer you’re looking for.
