Planning the dream themed photoshoot
In creating the photoshoot themed around “Pride and Prejudice”, this lovely couple and I collaborated closely to bring this vision to life. Reflecting on their love story, which has blossomed over several years of marriage, we wanted to capture their enduring connection without the need for a special occasion or anniversary.
Outfit selection was crucial for conveying the essence of the era. We aimed for elegant, timeless pieces that echoed the fashion of Jane Austen’s period. The couple opted for soft, flowing fabrics in muted tones, reminiscent of Regency gowns and tailcoats, which became the foundation of our romantic theme. Careful attention was paid, ensuring that the outfits complemented one another yet remained distinctively their own.
Setting the right time for the shoot was another key element. We chose the golden hour, just before sunset, to take advantage of the soft, flattering light that envelops everything in a warm glow. This magical time of day added an ethereal quality to the photos, enhancing the romantic atmosphere that we envisioned.
Unique props were thoughtfully selected to enrich the narrative. We incorporated a vintage lamp, went barefoot and heavy tailcoats so as to add layers of authenticity to the scene.
By taking the time to consider every aspect of this photoshoot, we transformed a simple idea into a beautifully intimate experience. I believe that love stories, like this one, deserve to be celebrated, and I am committed to guiding couples in creating meaningful and memorable experiences.
